Here are the rules for Secret Hitler. The game of Secret Palpatine is a re-skinned/slightly different version of Secret Hitler. The game of Secret Palpatine is a re-skinned/slightly different version of Secret Hitler.
Secret Hitler is a social deduction game about finding and stopping the Secret Hitler. Players are secretly divided into two teams: the liberals, who have a majority, and the fascists, who are hidden to everyone but each other. If the liberals can learn to trust each other, they have enough votes to control the elections and save the day.
This resulted in the government getting hung until the top card of the policy deck was revealed to decide the game (it was a after a fresh shuffle with 6 fascist and 2 liberal cards left). This seems to be a pretty serious flaw in the game design. Admittedly, it won't occur often, but when it does, it seems to take away from the game quite a bit.
There is a secret trump pack that skins over the fascists, but you still need the base box to use it. I'd say secret Hitler is better than the resistance due to being less "solvable" by the final round. oddly enough, it's pretty much obsolete because Spicer, Miller, and Bannon are all out of the administration

The game of Secret Hitler plays like normal until one of the teams win according to the original game (Phase 1). If the Liberals win (Phase 1), the game is over. In a social deduction game, the players are usually set aside in two groups: the deceivers and the detectives. The origin of the lie comes from the unchanging identity of those players. In a typical bluffing game, the roles of deceivers and detectives are either one and the same, or constantly changing.
